Parents who would like to be in the class to assist must sign the yellow "Parent Helper" sign-in sheet at the front desk. Please bring your medals and trophies to class so we can show the class and get pictures!

TESTING
Testing is next week! More information about testing will be in next week's email.
1. Testing will be during our regular class times
2. No spectators during testing
3. Please send me the following information before testing next week to help expedite the check-in process
a. Student Name
b. Student Age
c. Student current belt color
d. Student current belt size (there is a tag on the belt/sometimes the same size as uniform).

ABSENCES
All Absences must be made up by the testing dates below in order for a student to test for their next belt rank. Please see the Absenteeism List at the check-in desk. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or ask one of the secretaries.

CANYON RIDGE - TIME ADJUSTMENT
There is a time adjustment for the Specials Class, Intermediate, and Advanced Classes.
12:30 - 1:00 Specials
1:00 - 2:00 Blue - Purple Belts
1:00 - 2:30 Orange Belts and Above; Adults

SPECIALS CLASS - STAFF
This semester Staff will be taught as a Specials Class.
The fee for the Specials Class is $3.00 and can be paid when checking in online.

BEFORE COMING TO CLASS
* Parents please be sure to check-in online prior to coming to class every week
** You will not need to do this for the first class, as students are automatically checked-in when you register
** Online Check-In can be done through the ActivStars App or on the ActivStars Athletics Website (the link is in my signature below)
* Parents please check-in with the class secretaries upon arrival every week. If they are not checked-in in person, then they will be marked absent.
** This is to ensure proper attendance for each student
* Please be sure to read the Parent Helper Guidelines below if you would like to participate as a Parent Helper

* Students please bow before entering the dojo (gym/cafeteria)
* Students please take off shoes or wear karate shoes
** Shoes can be placed in a designated area provided by the instructor
** KARATE SHOES < USE THE LINK
* Students please bow before leaving the dojo (gym/cafeteria)
* Students please use "Yes, Sir" or "Yes, Ma'am" during class

STUDENT PICK UP
Parents MUST accompany children ages 4-17 during pick up. Children will not be released unless a parent/guardian is with the student. However, A Student Walker Form may be filled out if you feel your child/children are safe to check-in and leave by themselves. The form will be available at the check-in desk. Afterwards, your child/children will be allowed to leave without a parent/guardian.
